The increment operator adds one of a defined unit. At metigo® software this is the unit by which the selected elements are moved using the arrow keys of the keyboard. At metigo® 3D software this function is restricted for moving in the stereo window. Via the menu Edit>Increment in metigo® MAP or Options>Increment in metigo® 3D you can check which unit is currently selected and select a more suitable. The selected increment is marked by a dot in front.

Note Note: You have fast access to the increments by using the function keys F1 to F5. Using
  • F1 - Using the arrow keys the selected elements will be moved by 1 mm in the object space.
  • F2 - Using the arrow keys the selected elements will be moved by 1 cm in the object space.
  • F3 - Using the arrow keys the selected elements will be moved by 1 dm in the object space.
  • F4 - Using the arrow keys the selected elements will be moved by 1 m in the object space.
  • F5 - Using the arrow keys the selected elements will be moved by 1 user-defined distance in the object space.
Switching between these keys and using the arrows enables you to position an element fast and very precisely.

Defining an user increment at metigo® MAP

To define an user increment go to Project>Project Settings and open the tab Symbols / Mapping. At the section Mapping Options you can define your own specific increment suitable for the special tasks of your work. Just enter into the input field Increment F5 [m] your new increment.

Defining an user increment at metigo® 3D

The dialogue to define an own increment.

To define an user-defined increment at metigo® 3D for moving in stereo models go to the menu Options>Define Increment.... A dialogue will be prompted. Enter in the respective text fields an increment you want to use in the stereo-window for zooming:

  • Enter a value for moving on the stereo model plane in the input field model plane.
  • Enter a value for moving perpendicular to the stereo model plane in the input field depth.
Note Note: The value entered in the depth field should be smaller to enable precise movement in the model. A value which is a tenth part of the model plane is recommended.
